Welcome to the 2019 TUgis Conference. TUgis: Maryland’s Geospatial Conference is a cooperative undertaking of three primary partners—Maryland State Geographic Information Committee, Maryland Department of Information Technology, and Towson University. TUgis is dedicated to growing and empowering the GIS community throughout the Mid-Atlantic. The annual conference connects the Maryland GIS community to new ideas and trends and offers ample opportunities to find ways to collaborate.

Shawn Wampler, GISP,  is the GIS Coordinator for the City of Annapolis overseeing all geospatial development and managing the city’s GeoPortal. Her skills in geospatial mapping and application development have led to the design of products such as the Substance Use Disorder Bed Finder, an application which works to expedite treatment to those who suffer from the disease of addiction by identifying available treatment sites for referrals by first responders. Shawn has been a member of MSGIC since coming to the City in 2005.
