TUgis: Maryland’s Geospatial Conference is a cooperative undertaking of three primary partners—Maryland State Geographic Information Committee, Maryland Department of Information Technology, and Towson University. TUgis is dedicated to growing and empowering the GIS community throughout the Mid-Atlantic. The annual conference connects the Maryland GIS community to new ideas and trends and offers ample opportunities to find ways to collaborate.

Patrick McLoughlin, GISP, is the Director of Business Intelligence at the Maryland Department of Information Technology (DoIT), and is responsible for working with state agencies to optimize the way they use data, visualizations, and analytics to support their program’s mission and drive user engagement and informed decision making. Pat is also responsible for administering the State’s Open Data and internal data portal platforms. He serves as the State Caucus Chair of the Maryland State Geographic Information Committee (MSGIC). Pat has worked in both the private sector and State government.
