Welcome to the 2019 TUgis Conference. TUgis: Maryland’s Geospatial Conference is a cooperative undertaking of three primary partners—Maryland State Geographic Information Committee, Maryland Department of Information Technology, and Towson University. TUgis is dedicated to growing and empowering the GIS community throughout the Mid-Atlantic. The annual conference connects the Maryland GIS community to new ideas and trends and offers ample opportunities to find ways to collaborate.

Michael Herzberger

Maryland Environmental Service
Chief, Geospatial and Engineering Services
Mr. Herzberger is Chief of the Geospatial and Engineering Services group of the Maryland Environmental Service (MES). MES is a not-for-profit Independent State agency. The organization focuses on working with both governmental and private sector clients to find innovative solutions to some of the most complex environmental challenges. He is responsible for oversight of various technical services for numerous entities within the public sector. Michael has a B.S. in Geography and Environmental Planning from Towson University (2005).
