Welcome to the 2019 TUgis Conference. TUgis: Maryland’s Geospatial Conference is a cooperative undertaking of three primary partners—Maryland State Geographic Information Committee, Maryland Department of Information Technology, and Towson University. TUgis is dedicated to growing and empowering the GIS community throughout the Mid-Atlantic. The annual conference connects the Maryland GIS community to new ideas and trends and offers ample opportunities to find ways to collaborate.


Luis Carrasco

SR. GIS Support Analyst
Dr. Luis Carrasco has been with WSSC since 2017. He's a Senior GIS Analyst with the IT GIS Section and is involved in day-to-day production aspects of GIS applications as well as the integration of GIS to enterprise IT initiatives. Luis has worked as GIS analyst and Project Manager in different NC state agencies and the private sector, and has academic and professional experience in application of GIS to information technology, health, conservation, and environmental assessment. In recent years, Luis's work has involved leading initiatives to provide GIS infrastructure for different programs, such as broadband networks and First Responders GIS data.

Luis has a Doctorate degree from North Carolina State University.
