TUgis: Maryland’s Geospatial Conference is a cooperative undertaking of three primary partners—Maryland State Geographic Information Committee, Maryland Department of Information Technology, and Towson University. TUgis is dedicated to growing and empowering the GIS community throughout the Mid-Atlantic. The annual conference connects the Maryland GIS community to new ideas and trends and offers ample opportunities to find ways to collaborate.

Jonathan Austin works for GPI Geospatial, Inc. as a Mobile LiDAR Project Manager in their Columbia, Maryland office. He has 9 years of experience in remote sensing and GPS data collection. In 2010, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography from Virginia Tech. He currently lives in Baltimore, where he enjoys playing ice hockey, eating delicious food, and spending time outdoors.
