Welcome to the 2019 TUgis Conference. TUgis: Maryland’s Geospatial Conference is a cooperative undertaking of three primary partners—Maryland State Geographic Information Committee, Maryland Department of Information Technology, and Towson University. TUgis is dedicated to growing and empowering the GIS community throughout the Mid-Atlantic. The annual conference connects the Maryland GIS community to new ideas and trends and offers ample opportunities to find ways to collaborate.


Chad Siwinski

JMT Technology Group
GIS Analyst
Mr. Siwinski holds a Bachelor of Science in Geography and Environmental Planning with a minor in GIS from Towson University. He is currently serving JMT Technology Group as a GIS Analyst and has been there for over four years. Mr. Siwinski consulted on-site part-time at the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) where he has gained extensive experience with editing their National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Stormwater Enterprise GIS database. Typical tasks included geo-referencing as-built construction documents to digitize stormwater management features in the GIS, map creation, and configuring ArcGIS Online web maps to be used in the Collector App for ArcGIS. Mr. Siwinski also spent time on-site at the Baltimore City DPW assisting on editing their stormwater management database as well. Mr. Siwinski has worked on a variety of other projects that have involved using advanced editing tools in ArcGIS, map creation and GIS/CADD data requests, and testing support and documentation creation for applications. Mr. Siwinski is currently on-site at the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration providing GIS support to the Office of Planning and Preliminary Engineering Data Governance Division.
