Welcome to the 2019 TUgis Conference. TUgis: Maryland’s Geospatial Conference is a cooperative undertaking of three primary partners—Maryland State Geographic Information Committee, Maryland Department of Information Technology, and Towson University. TUgis is dedicated to growing and empowering the GIS community throughout the Mid-Atlantic. The annual conference connects the Maryland GIS community to new ideas and trends and offers ample opportunities to find ways to collaborate.

Professor in the Department of Geography and Geosciences
Art Lembo is a Professor in the Department of Geography and Geosciences at Salisbury University.  He also serves as the Technical Director for the Eastern Shore Regional GIS Cooperative (ESRGC).  Art has been using GIS technology since 1983, in both the private sector and in academia.  He has won numerous awards for teaching and GIS consulting projects. Art is a frequent contributor at regional, national, and international conferences, teaching technical workshops on Esri and open source GIS technology.  He has written numerous books, technical articles, and tutorials on GIS and spatial analysis.
