Welcome to the 2019 TUgis Conference. TUgis: Maryland’s Geospatial Conference is a cooperative undertaking of three primary partners—Maryland State Geographic Information Committee, Maryland Department of Information Technology, and Towson University. TUgis is dedicated to growing and empowering the GIS community throughout the Mid-Atlantic. The annual conference connects the Maryland GIS community to new ideas and trends and offers ample opportunities to find ways to collaborate.

Alison Montgomery is an Environmental Scientist with Coastal Resources Inc. (CRI), with a background in ArcGIS software and applications, including ArcPro, ArcGIS Online, Python scripting, Microsoft Access, database development and management, and hydrological and landscape modeling. As Coastal’s GIS Manager, Alison is responsible for internal GIS data management, creation and development of firm-wide GIS standard operating procedures (SOPs), and GIS training for CRI staff. She is skilled in using GPS to collect field data, and is well-versed in using GIS to create a wide range of environmental mapping products to support CRI’s work. In addition, Alison is a certified Arborist and leads tree and forest surveys, and assists senior staff with a wide variety of field assessments and natural resource mapping in support of technical studies and reports.
