Welcome to the 2019 TUgis Conference. TUgis: Maryland’s Geospatial Conference is a cooperative undertaking of three primary partners—Maryland State Geographic Information Committee, Maryland Department of Information Technology, and Towson University. TUgis is dedicated to growing and empowering the GIS community throughout the Mid-Atlantic. The annual conference connects the Maryland GIS community to new ideas and trends and offers ample opportunities to find ways to collaborate.

Harrison Bloom is a certified GISP with over 10 years of experience managing spatial and non-spatial data. He received his master’s degree in Geospatial Engineering from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry and his bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and Policy from University of Maryland, College Park. In his role as GIS Project Manager at Straughan, Harrison is responsible for project management, spatial database management, staff assistance, application development, and spatial analysis. He is an expert with ESRI products and database management software, including ArcGIS, Python, ENVI, Microsoft Access, MySQL, Spatial Analyst, 3D Analyst, Network Analyst, ArcGIS Hydro, ArcGIS Online, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, Collector for ArcGIS, Survey 123 for ArcGIS, ArcGIS WebApp Builder and Operations Dashboard, and QGIS. An area of interest for Harrison is data management, integration, analysis, and workflow automation using Python and ArcGIS model-builder. He brings his expertise in GIS development for environmental and utility management as well as management in application development to a variety of state, local, federal, and private clients.
