Participants should expect to leave with an understanding of the foundations of AI/ML that will allow them to: 1) select good candidates for AI/ML applications, 2) launch and manage their own AI/ML projects, and 3) integrate the technology in practical ways over the life cycle of a product to enhance the intelligence of production applications.

Speaker: Karl Keller is a technology consultant in the Emerging Technology Group at JMT and has a Master of Engineering in systems engineering from the University of Virginia. As a practitioner of AI and machine learning since the early 1980s, Karl is a leader in AI/ML both as a published author in the ML sub-field of genetic algorithms and as an entrepreneur with the first commercially available ML rule-engine technology based on the SOAR cognitive architecture. Karl’s current focus is on leveraging the convergence of AI/ML, big data, and IoT technologies in practical engineering contexts.
