Power companies use high-density aerial LiDAR and Imagery to model transmission lines; this presentation will focus on the 3D Project Delivery Process which includes setting and observing ground control panels along with weather stations; flight planning and acquisition of aerial LiDAR and Imagery; processing, calibrating and feature coding of point clouds; extracting planimetric and topographic data; and finally delivering a 3D PLS-CADD model along with Plan & Profile sheets and GIS parcel information.
