The Prince George’s County Traffic Management Division is responsible for designing and implementing road closure detours. In the past detours were planned manually with pen and paper. An application was created using an ESRI solution, Geoform, and the MDOT Road Closure Reporter application, to automate detour planning, and road closure public notification. The presentation will go through background, needs, objectives, development process, limitations, and conclude with next steps for the project.
